Hi, I thought I would share some photos with all of you, Obama made his last stop on his campaign trail in Manassas, VA. About 100,000 people showed up to support him. It was quite an amazing night. People walked for miles because of parking problems, but they still came. I've lived here all my life and never seen anything like it before. Here are a few photos from last night.

THanks DCPhoto. I was wondering if you where there. I was watching it on CSpan. Manassas Park is about 30 minutes from me. The entire time I was thinking I wished I had been there!

I watched the coverage form home and it was phenomenal. One of the things I miss about the news biz is the ring-side seat to history being made.

This is going to be a GOOD day.

The rally was held at the Prince William Fair grounds, they changed the plans from Manassas Park because of the expected crowds. I live 10 minutes away and it took me 2 hours to get home last night. I really could not believe the crowd that showed up.

Thanks for the pix - no way was I driving out to Manassas. 85% of the registered voters in DC are Dems... this is not a battleground "state".

The big issue in my neighborhood is the changes in the House and Senate. Who is going home, who is staying. And all the Hill staffers, AA's, LA's, etc. There will be a lot of For Rent signs.

Those pictures really put it into perspective. I just hope it all works out for him.

I have been to rallies for Clinton with tens of thousands of people, but it never looked quite like that.

I love that people of all shapes, sizes, colors and creeds are joining together in hope. Isn't that what America is all about?

I used two different lenses last night. We had a lot of light out there, which is a good thing! I used Nikon 70-200 2.8 and for the stage shots mostly I used a 70-400 4.5-56 slow lens. I had it on a tripod. It allowed me to get really tight shots. We were about 50 ft. from stage. Cameras Nikon D-200 shot on raw settings.

Great pictures! It's all very stirring. I'm holding my breath all day....

Great pictures DCphoto...were these for you or did you have a stringer assignment?

My agency posts them up on several stock agencies for magazines and newspapers world wide. I did not have an assignment on this one. I sell a lot of my photos this way, but my main income comes from assignment based photography. I also wanted to photograph it for historical purposes as well.
