Advice Needed

I was hoping someone could offer advice. Here's the situation I'm arriving a day before my younger sister I already have the villa set up and rental car on St John. I'm trying to find the cheapest way to get back to the airport the next day. She's never been to either island before and is afraid to find a way to Red Hook by herself. So, this leaves me to meet her at the airport. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a bus that runs out to Red Hook?
Thanks in advance.

Call my friend Rachel and have her pick her up. She will be there waiting for her and will bring her directly to Red Hook. It may be a little expensive for just one person, but she will feel better knowing that someone is there waiting for her and will get on the next ferry.
If she wants to keep the cost down, she just has to walk out to the dispatcher and tell them she is going to Red Hook. It is really pretty easy.

My first trip there, I was pretty nervous about figuring out how to get from point A to point B, (based on a horrible experience in the bahamas). It was amazingly easy! I don't know if I just got lucky or what, but the moment I got near the exit of the airport, I was taken "under wing" of a nice man, who grabbed a ride for me, and told them exactly what to do with me! It was almost like having an older brother there! If Rachel's as awesome as I have read on this forum, I bet she will be fine, and it would give her a big confidence boost!

My sister and cousin were kind of nervous when they flew into STT for our May trip to ST John.
I had Rachel pick them up and take them to Red Hook. They were very comfortable and so was I knowing that they were in Rachels van.

The only way is ferry then taxi for a roundtrip cost of $46.00
There is a $2.00 safari bus that you could take from Red Hook but you would have to walk the 1+ mile to the airport as they do not run to the airport itself - allow plenty of time if you go that route (a good hour from Red Hook)
I second Rachel - she will take very good care of her
And just incase anyone else would like to go that route please remember they do not allow luggage on the safari bus

Thanks everyone for your advice so far. I've been coming to the island for years now but never by myself so I wanted to make sure she felt safe. (She's only 23 and doesn't really travel)
I have Rachel's number so I'll give her a call.
Thanks again for the help.
Pia, maybe I'll see you at the Beach Bar

Rachel's the best - we've used her two or three times and have always been more than happy!
