Construction on North Shore

Does anyone know what is going up on the Northshore past Hawksnest towards Peace Hill?

I'm an avid user of Google Earth which allows you access to satellite images anywhere in the world. While researching a possible villa rental above Gibney Beach I noticed what looks like pretty major construction happening in what (I can only assume) is private land tucked in amongst the National Park. If this is a villa it's going to be a very big one!

Apart from the obvious depressing prospect of more Virgin land being built on, I was also selfishly worried about how much disruption this might cause to my planned vacation at Kallaloo Villa. Construction looks to be a fair distance away (1/8th mile 1/4?) but is so large that I'm having second thoughts.

Any information would be appreciated.

Happy Holidays to all Virgin lovers.

I believe the Google earth photos are a couple of years old, so the construction on that particular villa is probably finished by now. Check with the agency that rents Kalallo and they can tell you.

I'll bet what you're seeing is a huge house that was built on the top of the hill/point above Kallalo. The house is called Estate Hawksnest (or maybe it's Hawksnest Estate). The house is done and it' looks fabulous on the web site. Don't worry. You should be fine.

Thanks all. Estate Hawksnest, yes I've seen that online. That would make sense. Didn't realize those Google captures were really that old. Hard to keep up with all the work there on the Island.

And Anthony (btw) I did, Indeed mean "Virgin Islands" lovers, thus the capital "V". Sorry if I may have shocked!

Happy Holidays.
