Do you have to have a membership anywhere, e.g.
Sam's Club, in order to shop there ?

You don't need a membership to shop there. Price Smart does require a $20 membership.

There are quite a few products available at Cost-u-less that are not sold in bulk packages. The fruit and veg department is NOT bulk purchase only and very good. Many of the
meat and cheese products are small and convenient. The wine and Liquor dept is excellent in price and variety. Cigarette cartons are the cheapest on island. Sodas , beers and water are fairly priced but can be found cheaper 'on sale' elsewhere sometimes.
It opens at 9 am -- can be a bit slow at checkout on a busy day but is a good place to shop for a week long visit.
No membership card is needed.
It has more variety and smaller packaging than Price-Smart.
There was no goat meat on display yesterday - I looked just for Rick G - but often there is - and you can always ask at the meat counter.
There is a Home Depot next door for the hard core shoppers.

Sounds like Cost-U-Less will be our first stop after picking up our car from Dependable.
Is it cash only, or do they take plastic?
I'll need to know in about 50 hours or so!!!!!!

They do take plastic at Cost U Less. If they have the fresh roasted chickens ready when you are there - they are great. We like them for sandwiches and for making quick quesadillas with our Penzey's spices that we bring. The veggies are good, soda is a good price, they have good bakery and lots of bagged snacks like ships, etc.
