Okay, I am obsessed with travel and presently with
the Caribbean islands :o
Mind you this is not taking place 'til 12/04/09
But, I've been wanting
this itinerary for a long time now, so better
late than never.

NCL has a great 9 nt itinerary and we've only
been to 1 of the 5 stops...yippee!

So my question is does anyone have any suggestions
for great snorkle spots on any of the following:

Samana, DR
St Kitts
St Lucia
Tortola

Thanks for any help,
Kathy

If anyone is at all interested in cruises; NCL is
offering onboard credits up to $500 and
refundable reduced deposits.

Kathy,
We have been to St Lucia twice and it is really not known for its snorkeling. That said, there is reportedly good snorkeling near The Piton's and a couple of other spots.

Check out this link, it will give you some ideas. St Lucia is so lush and beautiful, it would be a shame not to explore a little. If it were me, I would probably do a land and sea excursion from Castries down to Soufriere where The Piton's are. That way you would get a snorkel stop too. I would not bother trying to drive there yourselves for only one day. The driving is an adventure, way more so than STJ and you will waste precious time looking for things. An acquaintance of mine also did the jeep safari tour and liked it. Have fun!

Hey thanks "guys"!

Brenda, I just briefly checed out the link
you shared, thanks! Looks like LOTS of great
ideas. The Pitons are high on our "want list".
Have to check and see if we sail by them, and
if so maybe I'll change the cabin from starboard
to port. Slipped my saturated mind when I chose
the cabin

And Sherban, thank-you for the reply! I have
been wanting this itinerary for quite some time
and now it looks like we can do it. St Lucia
especially has been on my short list of places
to visit. We really enjoy cruises to see more
and then we know where we will go back to for
a land base stay. Works out great!

Take care! :D
