For some entertainment value. If the Phillies win tonight, the city will be up all night, most likely on Broad Street.

We need a title in this city so bad, but these late nights are killing me.

I stayed up last night and watched that game. Husband was at the WHO concert and didn't get home till after 1:00.

I'm getting too old for this stuff, but....

GO PHILLIES!!!

My dear Pappy, who passed away in 2005, loved, loved, loved the Phillies. I wish he was still here to enjoy the series with the family.

I have to admit – it’s not looking too good for my Rays. Last night was pathetic for the Rays. Nothing was coming together for them. When the Phillies pitcher got that homerun (really happy for him as an individual) – it didn’t say much for our boys. The Phillies have outshined the Rays thus far and I’m hopeful the Rays can pull out a win tonight and bring it back it St. Pete. Wishful hoping I guess, but as we all know – anything can happen. If the Phillies win tonight, then they were the better team and the town deservers to whop it up in grand style. So, I guess it will be another late night for all of us.

I saw my first world series game in person last night. Just don't tell anyone I did it from seat 14A on a Southwest flight as we passed over the Cit.

I say it counts. We were below the blimp...that's close enough

Absolutely!

My team is the king of the down 3-1 comeback. FLAGeorge, we always say, just win game 5, and you have a great shot. Especially going home to Tampa for 6 and 7. You win tonight, this series probably goes 7.

I am rooting for the Phils, however. Just something about this Tampa team that rubs me the wrong way. Probably that they were better than my sox this year.

Nothing like October baseball. Although the dome kind of takes away from some of the magic. They building a new outdoor facility down there?

I hope not - it's hotter then hell here most of the time. I guess that we’re spoiled with the dome – cold A/C goes with cold beer. Plus the dome contains all the noise from the COW BELLS. Everybody hates them – we love them. I thought by the end of the Playoffs, I'd have to get my cow bell finger replaced.

Hey Connie I live in the Burbs too! Had a HUGE Halloween party here Sat. night. Between the PSU-Ohio State game and the Phillies, the guys never left the den (other than to replenish the beer and grab another shot!) We'll clinch it tonight! It's our year and Philly is STARVING for some sort of championship! I'd rather see it be the Phillies then the Eagles... Let's paint the town red instead of green!!

What an ugly night last night was. Even before the game started, I just had this feeling that it wasn't going to be finished because of the rain.

The ironic thing about this is IF they called the game before the sixth, the Phillies would of one it 2-1. We're cursed.

Our town would rather win the series the right way though. It would have been such a let down if we won it that way.

Only God knows when the remainder of the game will be played. Weather around here is going to be pretty bad for a couple days.

I thought I was going to be able to see the Phillies win it before we leave for the Islands...now I'm starting to wonder.

OMG - and now it's down to 3 innings!!

I would be totally beside myself if I had to wait an extra day to see what could be the winning game of the World Series.

Big momentum swing if the Rays pull this one off - just sayin'.

It's still nasty here today in Philly - it's actually snowing! What a disappointment that they had to suspend it last night. I hope it stops and they get to finish it tonight - go PHILS!!!!!!

We’ll take all the help we can get – even if it’s from “Mother Nature”. I would just like to see the Series come back to St. Pete. I bet there are a lot of sick people in Phillie today that were at the game.

PA Girl:

I was just saying to my hubby last night that I want to be with my Pop-Pop when/if the Phillies win just to see his radiating smile. He too, has been a Philly's fan his whole life and is 82 years old. I know that I won't have him around too much longer. I am sorry that you do not have your Pappy here to enjoy this with but he is rooting' for his team from Heaven!!

XOXO

When the Red Sox won in 2004 (first in 86 years), there were a lot of Championship banners waving in the cemetaries.

I brought one to my Dad
