Just returned to the condo after being downtown all afternoon! Hooked up with Ruth, Ron, Capt. John, Mary and others at the Beacb Bar for "Hurricane Happy Hour"! :P Great fun! Seems everyone has done what they can do...now it's sit & wait. Curfew begins at 6pm and...according to those in the know...will be enforced!

Everything is closed...literally. It's quite a sight!

Nothing terribly exciting to report! YAY! As long as we have power...I'll try to keep ya'll updated! Quite a variety of predictions...

Anticipatingly... :?

Well I got home a little before curfew. It was a busy day. We pulled several tenders out of the water at the marina. We also pulled a friends 25 foot power boat. Finished packing up and tying down everything at work as well. Then this afternoon my boss called from Miami, his flight back was canceled so I went to the North Shore with a co worker to help his maintenance man put up the shutters on his house. So we just had dinner and a beer or three. It is dark and wet. The rain is steady and getting a little harder so we will check in when we can.

Oh my. Omar just turned into a cat 3! It's been raining pretty hard and we can hear pretty good gusts of wind. It doesn't sound too bad overall yet. We have all the shutters closed so we cant see outside to see what it looks like.
