Hi Everyone,

Here's another question. What about buying liquor at the airport and some fresh fruit and other provisions in St. Thomas to bring on the ferry to St. John. Has anyone ever done this?

I don't know about the liquor prices at the airport but I can say that the prices @ the Kmart @ Tutu Park Mall are real good.
The Marina Mkt has been okay for fresh fruit, but depending on the day you're there. I do know that they get a delivery on Tues every week. I read that they get one 2x wk but don't know the other delivery day.

I guess it depends on how much time you have to shop around really.

Enjoy,
Kathy

The Cost-u Less in STT is convenient and easy to get to on the airport to Red Hook ferry ride - excellent prices on beers, alcohol, and soft drinks -- good fruit and produce section where you can buy by the piece or bulk - no membership requirements - has cheap styrofoam coolers if you want to buy meats or frozen items. Bug spray , sunscreen, toiletries as well.

They have a pretty good selection of mid level tv's,music systems, phones, etc. - I have gotten microwave, toaster, fans, coffee maker type appliances there - it looks like a changing - as available - inventory. Wouldn't be my 1st choice for a major purchase - the cost-u-less card doesn't get you any discount --- only a rebate every $500 or so.

As soon as we land we pick up a couple bottles of liquor in the airport. LOVE having a nice adult beverage while we're unpacking. The prices are always better then what we pay state side...
