Wonder if it means Bordeaux Mountain is getting ready to erupt and spew molten lava down the hillsides????

From one who has been born & raised in earthquake country, I'd say not to worry about a 3.7. Although, the topography being different in the Caribbean vs. California I can't speak with much authority 3.7 is about the minimum where you can still feel a quake. The VI quake was in the ocean whereas "our" quakes are on the continental shelf (? - not sure about my geology!)

I wouldn't worry about Bordeaux spewing molten lava (I had to laugh - that was great!) until you start getting 5's or better every 10 minutes or so! I'd be on the boat if that happens! LOL!

Actually if you look at the web site there have been several earthquakes in the VI region today. 3.7 was this morning at 5:00AM. There was a 5 at 9:09AM. Then a 3.6 at 10:30AM. I would say judging from the time the 5 at 9 AM was the one Ruth felt.

3 in a row! Oops! Time to get on the ferry!

Bordeaux (or would that be Little Monterrat?) is not allowed to blow its top until after my trip next May! LOL!

Are you recovered from the earthquakes yesterday Ruth? I nodded & laughed in empathy with your posting.

We were on STJ a couple falls ago when the 1st night we had a terrible storm with lightening that seemingly hit the roof of the villa we were staying at. It knocked out their tv, cable, phones, etc but the management company was very good at unbelievably getting them all replaced the next day. BUT I digress, the storm also reactivated the Montserrat volcano so the next couple days we were getting a lot of ash from it as well as the Sahara sands.

If that wasn't bad enough, on the 4th day we had a fairly large earthquake (5 something) & I'd never experienced one before. At first we thought it was a very heavy truck rumbling on the road (which we'd never felt or heard before) but then it was so sustained, we realized it was an EARTHQUAKE! It seems to last SO long, doesn't it? We just looked at each other stupidly trying to figure out if we should be doing something. I'd heard you were supposed to crawl under a table or something but the only table was a small glass one. Didn't seem like a good idea..

Needless to say, even with all that, it sure hasn't dissuaded us from returning again and again...
