Part of the St. George Village Botanical Gardens' series of hands-on workshops, this month's event will be held on Wednesday, October 8 in the Pavilion at the Bodine's Visitors Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Past workshops include learning how to make edible garnishes out of fruits and vegetables and making tequila from agave. On October 11 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Bodine Visitors' Center at the St. George Village Botanical Garden, parents and their children are invited to visit the fiber and dye garden, learn about common plants that provide natural dyes, chose some plants and plant parts to experiment with, then try their hands at dying cloth with natural dyes made from plants. On October 18 and 19 the Animal Care Center of St. John (ACC) will host a fundraiser flea market at the ball field next to Sprauve School in Cruz Bay. This is expected to be a huge event that will be fun for visitors and residents alike. The event will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday and between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
