I find it unfortunate that the last post you allowed there was one which basically labeled me a sexist.

My use of the term "they" applies to the man and the woman. A man has every bit as much culpability as the woman.

Wouldn't have thought I would've had to say that.

I am updating this to include that I didn't even see that post - it was posted while I was writing mine. That is why my post said we were closing it on Gromit's post -

Well. Anthony, I don't get why the thread was closed. Several of the posters have jabbed at each other politically numerous times in the past. If they want to go at it, so what? If we don't like the vibe of the thread, we don't have to read it. And you did encourage the thread from the begining. Now seriously, you didn't expect too much different then what resulted did you? It's on the OTF and it's a subject, encompassing many subjects, that folks are going to have different views on. I think some could be a little less personal in their attacks, though again that's typical in discussions of this nature.

The poll was a simple question - the thread got off the rails pretty quickly. I can't make everyone happy but I closed it as it seemed like the better option at the time. My apologies to anyone who I offended on either side or in any way. This is the hard part of the business - I can't win on this issue.

PS - I have an 8 year old's birthday today so please behave yourselves!

I didn't like the content or tone a number of the posts but certainly favored keeping it open----on the OTF. It keeps all that stuff contained on a single thread. Already it's seeping into other threads or new ones have started up.
