Thank you everyone for all the information we have obtained from this forum. Planning a last minute New Year's trip and were wondering if Simple Feast and Chateau Bordeuax were still open. Have read in previous posts they are both closed. Any information would be helpful. Thanks again everyone, wheels up in 14 days!!!

We were there Nov. 11-18 and Simple Feast was out of business. Some friends of ours went to the restaurant that was C.B. I'll try to find out the new name. That is all I know.

We just came back on the 9th and Charteaux Bordeaux was NOT open. The sign said "sometime in December" but word has it that they do not have a chef.

Simple Feast is not open currently. We asked our villa rental agency (Destination St John) about them, their office is just upstairs from SF.

The story as they tell it is the owner was going to close it, some issue with the lease, but has now decided to reopen it with some modifications. They say he will remove the deli counter, ready-made food items and sandwich part and add more store items. (the idea is to have items available on the island so people won't have to run to KMart on St Thomas). Not sure exactly what all kind of inventory that would include.

They did not know when the reopen would occur.
