Has anyone stayed at any of these places? We are just looking to stay one night in the off-season.

If so, is there parking and where are they located. I know where Inn at Tamarind Court's restaurant is but where would you park there?

Thanks,
nothintolose

We have friends and family that have stayed at Tamarind Inn and Hillcrest both. For one night...I'd happily stay at either! Both clean and the $$$ is right!

We like Tamarind, but it is definitely motel quality. In 4 short stays there the only problem we've had is noise at the bakery early. Inside rooms are quieter!

Cheers, RickG

Saw before some posts about St. John Inn having a noisy bar next to it - anyone know if that is a problem?

Still trying to decide where to stay that one night.

Hey Nothintolose!
Saw your PM but wanted all to know we did not hear any noise around St. John Inn when we stayed there one night last Thursday. We arrived at 11:30 p.m. and actually walked to Woody's with our carry-ons for a drink and then up the hill, take a right at the Catholic Church and the Inn is on the left hand side. We were confused on where the key was located and had to knock on the owners door (Sara) and she handed us the key to a room facing the bay. We crashed and did not hear a thing until the 6:15 a.m. car ferry boat blew its horn as it was leaving. Dazed and confused we showered, packed up and dropped the key on the desk & picked up our rental car at 8 a.m. @ Courtesy right by Woody's. North Shore to Coral Bay all the way!!
For one night, St. John Inn worked for us. Clean & convenient.
Good Luck!

Thank you so much. I have been waiting to hear how it went.

All we are looking for is a place to sleep our last night.

Did you have any problems with mosquitos in the room?

No mosquitoes in the room, but spray yourself in the morning before you step outside and once again around 4pm. If you do get bit, don't scratch, just put on cortisone itch cream and take a Zyrtec or Claritin.

If it has not been raining lately, you may not have bug problems at all!

BTW: When are you going??

Just read some posts on Trip Advisor about the slats for the windows not closing properly and mosquitos being a problem at night.

They LOVE me (even when no one else is being bitten). I spray myself every evening on STJ no matter where I am, but I don't like to go to sleep covered in repellent :)

We're not going till next summer - just doing early planning.
