We are renting a 5 BR house in November overlooking Privateer Bay. The views look amazing as well as the house. Can anyone tell me about that particular area? Newbie here. Thanks.[/url]

Oh, Babs, I bet you are staying in the house where we were supposed to stay in November. It's right next to Sloop Jones' so it's way out there, but they have spared no expense on the remodel of that house, and they are a delight to work with. You'll have to tell me all about it, so I can be jealous.

Yes, it is a remodel and is actually 2 pods connected by a pool. It is through "our rental paradise." They actually own a 6 BR too (under major remodel right now) and also 2 villas in St. Marteen. Do you think that is the one you are staying at or did you say you were suppose to?

Yes, that is where we were supposed to stay. But after our group was downsized and people kept asking to be closer to town, we ended up back in Great Cruz Bay/Chocolate Hole. I'm more of a homebody, so I would've liked to have been far out, and that house is absolutely wonderful.

John, Pat and Caitlin were all wonderful to work with. When we changed our plans, I told Pat that we would be back another time, so I'm anxious to hear what you think of it.

This is our first trip to St. John. I'm so excited. One of the other couples we are going with have been several times (but never to this particular house). I will definitely give you a review of the house. I think we will be in St. John the week after you in November.

We are there Nov. 8-15. It can't come soon enough.

I am sure you are going to love St. John. Feel free to ask us if you have any questions.

So, you're the people who rented it for the week after us! I think you're going to enjoy it.

If you see a short, chubby lady with brown hair and a brown polka-dotted roller bag at the STT airport, stop and tell me hi!

Can you tell me the name of this villa? I think it's one we've considered for a trip of 2 couples with 2 kids each. I'd love to hear your review of the place upon your return and, in particular, what you think of the layout for couples and kids.

It is Wild Jasmine Villa...2 houses together actually separated by a built-in pool...5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms total. It is listed under "our rental paradise.com" I will definitely post a review and trip report. 8 weeks away...can't wait!

Lulu...I hope I do run into you at STT airport and I will definitely say hello. What time is your unfortunate flight home?

If I have to fly home, at least I don't have to go until 4:50 p.m. So pretty much after 2:30, I'll be bored out of my mind in that airport. I hope I can find the rum punch!

Lulu I will definitely look for you. We arrive in STT at 2pm.

To clarify the location of this villa-- it's in the Privateer Bay subdivision, but it does not "overlook" Privateer, since it's on the Round Bay side of the hill, right above Sloop Jones. It faces pretty much south.

You may find more reviews under the old name "Wild Jasmine". Sometimes when a house changes names, it's hard to track, but if you know the old name, you can maybe find more info on it. It looks very nice.
