at some point over the summer I made these

but something happened and I didn't cook them so I popped them in the freezer. now do I defrost and cook or just pop them in frozen? I may end up with an impromptu birthday party here tonight and it seems like a good time to use them.

They're similar to the Villa Vittles on OSJ a few months ago. I don't have an answer, but they look so good.

I think defrost but I'd like someone to tell me frozen is ok so I can make a last minute decision

Yep, if you cook frozen the bacon will only be slightly more cooked. That's cool, its bacon, ya can't screw it up!
You may see some water seperate from the cream cheese. If that happens and there are some pools of water just give them a tip with some chop stix or tongs. Cooking them on a rack on a tray is the way to go.

OMG! Those look so good! Totally addictive!
I don't know about how to cook them from the freezer but I see you have gotten a few answers so please share how they came out!
If they can go straight from the freezer that would totally ROCK!

I made these last PM and they are GREAT! So glad I saw this recipe, THANKS MaryBeth. The printed out version from the pioneer woman website suggests freezing at the point you froze yours and then baking from a frozen state....so how DID they turn out? I agree w/ Cat that they would ROCK if they come out as good from frozen and be as tasty. Can't wait to hear more on this one!

well they are still in my freezer! I thought we might end up having my mother's birthday dinner at the house last night on account of Hanna but my mother said Hanna Schmanna I want to go out. So we did. My mother was 85 yesterday

When I get around to cooking these up I will let you know how they turn out from the frozen state. I looked at that website to see if she said how to cook them once frozen but I never saw it.

Unless you have a smoker available!
I like to mix in pulled pork or crumbled sausage in with the cream cheese, too.
Cook on the smoker at about 250 until the bacon is done.
They'll go just as fast as the ones Tom's son ate!
