I am trying to make the decision for my husband's 40th. There will be 6 of us and I ike the idea of a private chef but also like the idea of going out.
So here are my questions:
1. Restaurant or Private Chef?
2. Why?
3. Please recommend which chef or restaurant.
Thanks!

what about a dinner cruise just for your group? I actually contacted someone about it but wasn't able to work it out. kind of a combination of 2 things. not sure that really helps your decision making!

Thanks for adding to the confusion. We are actually sailing the day before, so I think that may be too much.

I think it would also depend on where you are staying. With a sunset view, and lights twinkling on STT, the crickets and tree frogs singing..... it would be very nice to dine at home.
Then again............there are exploding wontons to think about
JUST KIDDING!!
I'd probably opt for dinner out, but then again. I know I'm not much help. What would the birthday boy prefer??
Happy Planning!

He has no preference. We are staying in Rendezvous, so the night time view won't be as nice as a STT view, so I guess it should be dinner out.
So, now I need to know which restaurant and why?
One of the men travelling with us has a few severe allergies, so I know that I will have to call ahead to make sure that they can accomodate us. I am sure they will, but better safe than sorry.
The ones that come to mind are Asolare, Zozo's, and Stone Terrace, but I want to hear from folks that have eaten there recently.

I would vote for Zozo's. Get there at 5:30 for drinks in the upstairs bar (wow - what a view and great rum punches and martinis). Make reservations for a table at the railing, sit back and enjoy!! We had 2 birthday boys in our group and the brought some tiramisu with candles in it - but I would vote for the amazing chocolate lava cake!!

We also have six in our group that is traveling later next year. Can you tell me if you rented a vehicle big enough for all of you or decided on two? Thanks.

We are renting 2 vehicles. I just like the idea of having freedom to do things without the whole group.
We rented a Jeep Liberty and a Sidekick.
