Serendip vs Sailview or other?

So, as I wrap up the last trip report, we are looking to return in October. We are doing this trip in a much more affordable fashion then the last one. Any thoughts on Serendip vs Sailview. One is close to Cruz Bay and the other Coral Bay. We've never stayed in Coral Bay, but end up over there for Shipwreck and Skinny Legs. Any advice?

I really like the looks of Sailview. We looked in to staying there a few days in 2009 but didn't get the flights to work out accordingly but it's a good option I think.

Nick - we'll be on island 10/11-10/18, staying in the more affordable Pink Horses.

Chet-that villa looks awesome for the price! That's the same time period we are looking at so maybe we'll see you there! I tried to convince myself I could go somewhere other than StJ, but it hasn't worked to well!

My vote is for Sailview. We stayed 11 nights there this past April and I can't say enough about this beautiful place. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer. Loved,Loved,Loved Sailview.

Another vote for Sailview--it wins hands down, unless for some reason you need to be in Cruz Bay.

Pia gives Sailview great reviews. I've corresponded with the owner, and she was answered my questions quickly. I've had it on my short list for awhile.

Sailview, Sailview, Sailview - beautiful, clean, a/c what more do you need (no kitchen though but for the price it is a STEAL) :)

Pia, doesn't it have an outdoor grill, small fridge, and microwave? Seems like that's enough to at least have some breakfast, grill some meat and nuke a few veggies. If it were just the two of us, that's about all we'd need anyway.

Yes it does have an outdoor grill and deck and small fridge in the room - not sure on the microwave though - I'll ask :)

Thanks everyone for the comments! If we manage a trip in October, we'll definitely be going with Sail View. I've been in contact with Eileen and have only read good things. We just have to decide between St. John and Yellowstone/Grand Tetons! We must decide soon!

Check out Winter Moon- www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p177459/photos. A friend of mine who lives on St. John told us that this cottage has just been put on the rental market. She said it was really a cute place.

I give my vote to Sailview because I have booked it
for Dec.
The reviews on TA should tell you all you need to know.
Also they have been very helpful and nice with all of the questions I have had which can only be a good thing.
