Woke up this morning, no alarm, i guess around 8. French toast for breakfast. Last of the coffee. Need to go to Lily's, can't be without coffee. Also need butter for tonight's dinner.

Chilled out a bit, read the STJ book to decide where we're going today. Cinnamon Bay looks good. Let's leave after eating lunch in. Hit the pool for a while. 10:30am. Too early for a Marguerita? Nah.
12 o'clock. Not hungry yet. Sandwiches and Corona to go I guess. Don't forget lime slices.

Pack up. Head out. Choppy water today. Pretty beafy waves while snorkeling. Writing this TR and i feel myself bobbing up and down (place one foot off chaise lounge to floor). Not the greatest snorkel spot. Give up after an hour and eat those sandwiches (and drink Corona's). Damn hot in the sun. Let's head somewhere else. Cruise down the road to Hawksnest. Nice beach. Decent snorkeling. Waves worse here though. 2 ft swells. Stay in anyway. some nice stuff, though after watermelon I think everything is a let down. <foot>

Left about 5:40 - hope we make the smoothie stand.

CRAP and DOUBLE CRAP - smoothie stand closed. Depressed we take a spin to the east end. I mean the EAST east end. Nice ride. Not much out there but green, but I like nature. End of the road, u-turn, head back to Lily's to pick up that butter and coffee.

Back at house, start cooking (me mostly this time).
(2) big ass lobster tails for the Bar-B.
8 oz butter, 3 lemons (post note - make that 2), salt, pepper, garlic. Cut the bottom soft skin off the tails, brush on butter and stuff. stick a skewer in lengthwise to keep them from curling.

<pause> mix margherita to keep self moisturized while cooking. <end>

Prepare Belgian Endive - cut ends off and split lengthwise. Lay center up, liberally pour extra virgin olive oil, salt & pepper. Onto bar-b. 10 minutes flip. Pour a little more oil.

Lobster - shell down (meat up) onto bar-b. Brush on more butter mix. 6 minutes. Flip em (make sure shells are red). Oh, brush on more butter before flipping.

Take off endive. sprinkle with paprika - not much.

8 more minutes, turn over tails meat up. more butter. 1 minute. serve.

Oh, forgot the sliced carrots and flat string beans (like the ones you get when you order Chinese food). salt, olive oil & gaaaahlic (lots) in a pan. stir fry.

Open Cakebread Chardonnay. Delicious.

Dessert - leftover decadent chocolate thingie from Chateau Bordeaux.

Sit out on deck while overlooking coral bay and write trip report while drinking rest of wine. Still feel myself bobbing up and down from today's snorkeling.

Another day in paradise. 1 more to go before we leave Friday. Decide tomorrow where we'll go.

Note: made the right call on packing lite. 3 shorts, 2 bathing suits. 2 t-shirts, 1 collared shirt for nice diners. perfect. Brought too much camera gear though. Leave tripod and at least 2 lenses home next time. Put camera on deck railing for sunset photos next time.

I second Mary Beth's comment on Cakebread. We are always so happy that we can get that on island.
