Cousin's trip report - day 5
Posted: Sun Aug 03, 2008 4:54 pm
Well, Monday morning and Jay and I have to work. We are draggin' a--! The girls are on their own again. Patti decides she is ready for the Sky tram ride; she's afraid of heights (or at least she was!). We originally were going to try and find the road up to Paradise Point so that she wouldn't have to ride up. But they got a wild hair and decided they were ready. They called a taxi and off they went. The ride up looks like it was pretty awesome. I haven't done it yet. But, it's on my list.

Patti kept her head down the entire time. Angie just kept telling her 45 more secs....hang in there....45 more seconds. Someone else in the tram asked if she was ok, and Angie just told them that she was good and to just not say anything.
So once, they were at the top, time for cocktails!!

She looks like she recovered just fine.

They have live entertainment during the day until usually 4 or 5 pm. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings they stay open later 9 or so, with live bands. But that's another posting.

They also have a bird show during the day.

Paradise Point claims to be the home of the Baileys Bushwacker.

After Jay and I got off work, we were hoping we could talk the girls into a quiet evening at the house, cook some dinner, have a few drinks around the pool. But they had other plans in store for us. We met them at Hooters; it's air conditioned and they liked hanging out there. We joined them for dinner and you guessed it, more cocktails.

The bill was getting pretty high, so we decided it was time to take this party back to the house. The only problem was, we were doing lemon drops and we didn't have any lemons at the house. We had a really cool waitress and we told her our dilemma. Low-and-behold, she brought us a lemon to take home! Now that's service. Sorry...no pics to share from this point forward.
