Jay had to work on Saturday so it was the girls day out. It was a leisurley morning; Patti slept in, but Angie and I were up at the crack of dawn. We woke up most mornings to the sound of Angie out on the veranda spraying bug spray all over her! The mosquitos loved her. At the moment and I'm getting eatan alive trying to type this report and have no bug spray left!

Anywho, once we got up and moving, we went to Havensight boat dock to catch Doubloon for a day snorkel trip. The girls got invited the previous day so I tagged along. They didn't seem to mind. The boat was full of cruise ship pasengers exept for the three of us.

Captain Dave was at the helm.

They took us to Buck island to snorkel. It was a little crowded since there were two other snorkel groups, plus BOS and Atlantis. It was a good snorkel. We saw turtles, hermit crabs, lots of fish and a pretty good reef. Megan did a great job of taking the group around and pointing everything out. It was a lot of fun but I could have done without the crowd.

After the snorkel it was time to head back to Havensight. They put out all the sails and the painkillers started flowing. They did a great job of making sure no one's cup went empty. Alex did a comic routine selling t-shirts, it was hilarious. Of course all three of us purchased something. How could you not with that face!! :D

The rest of trip back was a blast. Painkillers, tatoos, did I mention painkillers? Can't show the rest of the pics....too much for public viewing. We then walked to Fat Turtle, it was close and we were starving. It was a food fest!

It was time for Jay to get off work, so I left to pick him up. By the time we got back the girls had walked over to Hooters. It's air conditioned! And of course we needed more cocktails and food. Do you see a reoccuring theme here?

Then back over to Fat Turtle. There was a golf tournament party and they had a great band playing. We danced and carried on. (no viewable pics, sorry) At this point, it was time to go home. Poor Jay trying to keep up with us after working all day...he was having a tough time.

Next installment: St. John!!

Deb, sounds like a super fun day :) How far is Buck Island? It's only 9 a.m. and I'm craving a painkiller now!

Buck Island is a small island right outside of Charlotte Amalie harbor. There is a good dive sight there and pretty good snorkeling when there aren't so many people.
