I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I couldn't find it through the search, so...

Having a get-together this weekend and I need to make a BUNCH of painkillers. All the recipes I can find are for single drink recipes.

Anyone got any gallon jug-type recipes to share? Anything that'll prevent the coconut from separating?

Thanks!

I used 2 cans Dole Pineapple Juice, 1 carton Orange Juice (1/2 gal.), 1 can of Coco Lopez or Coco Real. I mixed it all up, put it into a 1 gal. water bottle or two, then all you do when you want a Painkiller, is shake it up, pour it into your glass, add a couple shots of rum, sprinkle some nutmeg and enjoy! 8)

Use this link and change the servings.

I really like this recipe- simple easy. I think I make a recipe for "10" servings and just add a little more to fill up a plastic jug

2 large cans Dole pineapple juice
2 cans Coco Lopez
30 oz. orange juice

Put in gallon jug and shake.
Add Cruzan Rum and fresh nutmeg to each serving.

If you heat up the Coco Lopez a little, I have found it doesn't clump up.

People love my recipe when ever I make it:

1 can of pineapple juice
2 cups of orange juice
2 cups of coconut rum

Fill your glass 1/2 way with crushed ice, add Painkiller and enjoy!

All of this fits well in the Pampered Chef smaller pitcher that has the plunger in it to mix up the contents.

I'm at work right now and going home for lunch in a few minutes. I have a partial pitcher of Painkillers in the fridge and it sure would taste good. I bet it would make the afternoon go by quicker too. It sure is tempting!

PS to all the great ideas. If you are having the party anywhere there might be heat, I would keep the batch with the Coco Lopez on ice or a refrigerator as it seems to like to separate. It needs to be constantly stirred if kept otherwise but would work none the less.

We recently made gallon jug batches for our 4th of July party. The day before the party we pre-blended the Pinapple Juice(4 parts), OJ(1 part) and Creme de Coco/Coco Lopez(1 part), put it in a gallon jug and refrigerated it. We don't put in the rum at this time. Then during the party we will blend the "mix" (from the gallon jug), rum, ice and nutmeg in batches and pour into a glass pitcher for people to self-help. While this is not pre-mixing everything, it makes quicker, less messy and fresher batches during the party. It is amazing how much easier it is to make painkillers when you have the Pineapple Juice, OJ and Creme de Coca premixed. We will generally have a 3 to 1 pre-mix to rum ratio but it seens like the ratio gets stronger as the party goes on.
