It's basically across the street from the Beach Bar - next to Slimman's. The church is on the corner on your left with signs that say "Thou Shalt Not Park Here"

I remember going by there one Ash wednesday and the priest out by the road asking if you wanted ashes I stuck my head out with a beer in my hand and he gave them to me. I impressed my mom when i told her I got ashes on vacay. Didn't tell her about the beer and the jeep though.

Water guy what a good boy u were !! Yes the Church is Our Lady of Mt.Carmel which was too funny when we first saw the name because that's the name of parish me & my 5 sibblings attended oh yeh including my dad who was the first first communion class in the parish !! They have remodeled the one on STJ in last few years . the schedule for mass is posted outside in front.

ps there is a pic of the church in my album taken last month on STJ.

They were apparently made to take down their "Thou Shall Stop" sign in favor of a more conventional "Stop" sign.

I am pretty sure there's a Saturday night service, too. Yes, I know there is because I saw it once as I was parking my car at STJ Car Rental.
I promise I'll make it this next time. Or at least I promise to try.

MBW The mass at MT Carmel is beautiful. Be sure when they ask at the end of the mass if you are a first timer visiting the church that you tell them you are. If you are an early riser the 7:30 Mass is very nice and the parishoners have beautiful voices. They truly make you feel welcome. I cry every time.

I never saw the Thou Shall Stop sign as last summer, when we were there, we were supposed to get a pic of it for CAGirl and my sister saw it but didn't have her camera, when we went back, the new sign was up. That was the last week of June 2007.
Last time we were there the "Thou Shall Not Park Here" signs were still up, and I LOVED them.
Oh, and we went to mass there when the church was still being built...we said we were really offering up to God because there was ZERO circulation, and I have NEVER been so hot in my entire life.

Is there any parking for the Catholic Church or should I just park at Slimman's?

Not right outside because "Thou Shalt Not Park Here". Who are you renting your car from? If it's Conrad's STJ Car Rental, you are close enough to use their lot and walk.
