I'd like some recommendations for a good pair of fins that are light weight and easy to pack. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks.

We are using U.S. Divers packable travel fins. We ordered them from National Geographic On-Line Catalog. I'm mailing them to Connections today.

You're welcome! They're very comfortable and I like the short fin. The real test will be in 9 days!

We are going to the U.S. Divers short fins also now that we are going to carry-on only. You can find those fins for about $35 on several websites. There are at least 2 styles that work well for travel. The ones listed on the NG site are the Shredders. The U.S. Divers Treks also work well for travel.

You think there's much difference between Treks and Shredders? The price is the same and they look identical. Thanks for the info.

We are using U.S. Divers packable travel fins.
These are excellent for kneeboard and paipo riding. (CG - I have 8 vintage boards). They pack well, and are stiff for power take-offs. The ankle leash helps in heavy surf. They work well for snorkeling.

I really can't tell much difference. They look almost identical except for the colors available and the Shedders appear to have a "leash" system on them. It is probably designed more for boarding and may use a stiffer material.
We are going with the Treks since they are the same price and seem designed more for snorkeling.
