Okay, so I'm soooo excited here BUT I cannot share the news with anyone in the family yet...

My son has told me that my dtr-in-law is pregnant, but since she has lost 2 pregnancies in the past they are waiting a bit to share their news with others.

So since it's very difficult not to share I have been a lil' bad and told the cashier @ Publix and you "guys". It's sooo hard not to tell someone!

Okay so I pray everyday as many times as possible that this pregnancy is safe and healthy! They've been married for almost 5 years and I've been very patient in waiting to hear a lil' voice say, "Grammie can I have...?" Oh boy am I going to spoil them!!

Thanks for letting me share and please think of a positive outcome for us!!

Enjoy,
Kathy

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Let us know! Having been through the same thing, also twice, before getting pregnant with our oldest, I know how emotional it is for all of you. Sending good thoughts your way...

Congratulations Kathy.

I said a special prayer to Saint Gerard for your son and d-i-l...he is the patron saint of pregnant women.

I recently became a Grammie for the first time and there is nothing like it. This little guy has brought some much needed joy back into our lives.

We spent the past weekend with him for his christening and Im still giddy from seeing him. I'm already planning our next trip to DC :)

God bless you and your family.

Thanks for ALL the well wishes, prayers and positive thoughts. :D So appreciate every one of 'em!

Okay the update; her HCG levels are normal, repeat in 48 hrs. Ultrasound went well; everything looks good. However, the progesterone level was low and midwife believes this could be the reason for the 2 prior losses. Dtr-in-law was given RX for progesterone suppositories and now we're just waiting on the next HCG level, which we'll know on Thurs. After we hear that the levels are increasing then I can share with my sibs and Mom, which I've been biting the bit at this time to share this most awesome news!
Sooo, sounds and looks GREAT :!: :!:

I don't know if hubs realizes or not but after Thursday's news I'm praying that the spending will be able to begin  Lots of yellow and green right?!!

Thanks for your support ladies.

I really hope that everything will go well for your daughter in law, and I can fully understand that you look forward to have a grandchild. We haven't seen our two for 3 weeks- have been on vacation- miss them so much and will see them tomorrow.

Thanks again ladies for all your thoughtfulness.

I knew I could share with some of you and that I would receive such support!

I awaited my phone call on Thursday eve, and waited and waited...hubs and I went to dinner, did a lil' shopping and as the time passed the more I felt afraid. I left a very "generic" message on my dtr-in-law's cell that I was just checking in and hope everything was okay and to call me when she gets a chance. Ugghh, I was feeling like "Debbie downer" while my hubs tried to make me think they were out celebrating and just forgot to call. Thanks honey, you're so good at being the positive one!!

Anyway, about 30 minutes after my message my cell phone rang and it was my sweet Kim bawling her eyes out and apologizing for not calling, and that she spent Wednesday night in the ER cuz she lost the pregnancy. Now it was my turn to be the strong positive one. I felt sooo awful being sooo far away in such a sad time of their lives once again.

The one positive thing is that perhaps now she can build up her progesterone levels before she conceives the next time and HOPEFULLY this will help.

My son, Shane was not able to talk to his dear ol' Mom that night and it ws just as well cuz I would've totally lost it not being able to take his pain and sadness away. It was their 4th anniversary on the 4th and I felt so bad that they were so sad and probably not even acknowledging the reason to celebrate.

Relieved to hear from Shane on Monday night and he sounded real good. Boy, sometimes I don't understand why such sad and devastating things happen to us. Especially when we're so deserving of good.

Thanks for caring, listening and having us in your thoughts...

xo,
Kathy

Tom is right that Sorry doesn't seem to cover this situation.

Mt grandmother used to say "Life has a way of throwing us curveballs so that we get practice for the big game."

I like to hope that there is some truth in that.
