Another airline joins AA in the seventh ring of hell for charging to check the first bag...

Seriously?!?!?

I'm wondering if the CEO's are taking any pay cuts? I'll bet everyone on this board 10 to 1 that the CEO's of AA and United get multi-million $$ bounses this year.

Welcome to hell boys -- come on in the air is fine...

Doh, I posted this in a separate topic...I scanned to see if anybody else had already posted this but missed your post somehow.

This really stinks...at this point I'm all for weighing passengers and their stuff. It wouldn't be embarassing because you could put your stuff and yourself on the scale at the same time and nobody would know how much you weigh.

If this is really about weight, then I should be able to bring 100 lbs of luggage for the same price the guy next to me pays because he weighs 100 lbs more than I do.

No it isn't about weight less bags mean less baggage handlers to and it is about more revenue.

Any body know what the cost of the third and forth bag will be. My son flys with his gear all the time.

Honestly you might be better off fedexing it.

Funny you should mention CEOs and raises. I was a pilot for a regional airline (2000-2006) and after Sept. 11, 2001, about 100 of our pilots were furloughed and about that many flight attendants. We later found out that after all of those people lost their jobs, our CEO gave himself a 1.5 MILLION dollar bonus. So, to see things like this; charging for bags, snacks, etc. really makes me angry.

Well, they have us where they want us.

can they pay me $125 to load the bag into the plane myself?
