Need help with the name of a Villa in Simonsen Calendar

I have Steve Simonsen's 2008 calendar hanging in my office. In this month's photo of the North Shore there is a villa with a blue roof in the botton right hand corner. Any idea as to which villa this is?

Thanks!

No idea, but I was looking at that same blue roof yesterday and thinking the SAME thing.

Has anybody got the link to Sherban's google earth site? Maybe we could figure it out from looking at that. I keep meaning to add it to my favorites but keep forgetting to do it.

Isn't it in his signature line? Look for one of his posts - it might be there.

He was standing on the upper balcony of Hakuna Matata when he took the shot...

I thought someone who was posting recently went to that villa, but noted it was not on the rental market. Was it Mr. Marcia & Mrs. Pete? My memory is hazy.

Where are Marcia & Pete lately anyway... I miss you guys ;)

I was going to ask this EXACT question today! John and I were talking about it this morning. He has it in his head that it is Cinnamon Stones. I am glad Ruth is going to find out for us!

Ruth, if you have a chance to ask, I would also like to know what villa he was at when he took the picture. The view is amazing!

Thanks all ... especially Ruth. If this is the view from Hakuna then I need to consider renting this villa as well.

We happened on the road that takes you to Hakuna Matata and Jungle Stones this past trip. It's KILLER! But, I guess it's worth it and you must get used to it.

I've been staring at the same picture and wondering what villa that is also - thanks for asking 2FarNorth.

I tell ya, staying in a villa on John Head Road would be enough to get me to swear off drink. Wasn't there a forumite who slid their jeep off this road?

I'm scratching my head staring at Google Earth, Sherban's pins and the perspective I don't see how the photo was taken from Hakuna Matata!!

Cheers, RickG

So funny that this should come up because it's been buggin' me since I flipped my calendar to June.

We've stayed in Catherineberg for many years at several of the houses up there and I really can't remember seeing a blue roof so I'm really stumped. I check sherban's map and I don't see a blue roof anywhere there either. I'm wondering if it's the little house below Mango Bay (not on the rental market now but used to be under the name of Valentine Villa.) We stayed there years ago and I don't remember if it has a blue roof or not.

Sherban, you've got Hakuna Matata marked wrong on that map. It should be the house with the round portion and the house below it that you have marked as Hakuna Matata is really Jungle Stone. The one under construction in that picture is Peace and Plenty (just below Cinnamon Stones).

I guess we have to wait to see what St. John Ruth tells us when she hears from Steve and Janet.

2FarNorth - our first trip to STJ we stayed at Hakuna Matata and so far it has had the best views of any of the places we stayed and it was the least crowded.

We also visited Cinnamon Stones while we were there and it was really nice as well. I liked the layout of Cinnamon Stones better but the views from Hakuna Matata and it's pool much better.
