For those of you that will be on St. Thomas June 21-22, you may want to check out the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event. It's being held at the Charlotte Amalie High School, it start at 4:00 pm on Saturday and runs through noon on Sunday. For a $10 entrance fee, you get a Relay for Life t-shirt and access to all the bands, food, games and activities going on; plus help cheer on the walkers! They have several bands lined up to play all night Saturday to keep the energy level up of the walkers on the track (which of course I am one of). It's apparently one of the largest fund raising events on the island, the whole community gets involved. They'll have lots of games and activities for the kids, as well as adults. So come by and support an awesome cause and have a fun filled evening at the same time. Oh and by the way, if you would like to sponsor me in the walk, I will be more than glad to take your donation (shameful plug I know). You can pm me if you're interested.

My husband's family has a team every year that was started by his grandmother that passed from cancer. Our relay night is this Friday night at the local high school. I think I need to tell them it should be our goal to do the walk on STT one year soon. That'd make it even more fun! I'm sure it'll be a great night!

Relay for Life is such a worthy cause, and I encourage everyone to support it. Ours will be held at the end of this month, as well. My daughter's former school holds various fundraisers prior to the event and organizes a team to walk each year.

Best of luck, mrscaptainjay. Hope you get lots of sponsors.

Best of luck mrscaptainjay. Just finished a Relay for Life event here in NE PA on a very hot and humid weekend. Very inspirational. Relay in St. John, priceless!!!!
