Going back to the STT for 10 days... Can't wait!
Been 4 years since I have been back for a quick stop, and 8 years since a long vacation on 'the rock'.
Moved to STT when I was 5, left for the states when I got married in 83'. Parents were there till 93'... older brother still in STX.
Staying at a friends condo at Cowpet, and trying to catch up with friends that I haven't seen in a long time.
We just celebrated our 25 anniversary (were married in Fairchilds Park) and plan to island hop, teach my kids how to sail a sunfish and show them my old house on Skyline Drive and in Wintberg... etc.
Does anybody know if Mampoo Kitchen is still in lower Wintberg, on the way to Megans? Their stewed guava berry was the best. Granny (sure she's gone now) made the best sugar candy, and sugared tamrind on a stick... just want to share some of these things with my girls that you would not find on the regular beaten path.
