OK I have not even been to STT yet (May 24) and alredy planning my return...found a really nice condo for rent at a good price on Dorthea Beach! Anyone know anything about that Northern area? I think it would be a great place to go with just my hubby to have a nice relaxing romantic vacation away from EVERYTHING! Curious to know if anyone every stays on that side of the island! Thanks!

We used to take the kids down there to play - it is a neat, rocky beach, and you can walk a trail to a more deserted, more sandy beach. It is definitely out of the way and off the beaten path for St. Thomas - I bet most St. Thomas residents have never been down there!

My Mother, Sister and I stayed there when they were new almost 20 yrs ago. It was very nice and quiet, and they had a lovely pool near the beach. The beach was rocky, but good for beachcombing. The waves were pretty big and we saw a few people surfing there.

Thank you all so much. I saw an ad on Cyber rentals and the place looks modern and lovely! Just kinda stumbled upon it! They do show an aerial shot and the beach there does not appear rocky but then again it is a long way down from that shot! I put it on my favs. for future travel!!! Not sure how hubby would like to stay secluded like that! I would think we'd have nice romantic dinners in and that's not HIS idea of a vacation! He likes nice romantic dinners OUT.

Hi Elisa! Yes its not a common name and most people spell it wrong and say it wrong! (Thanks Ma)
