We are home

We left St. John yesterday. Took the noon ferry out. You know how it is when you have to be out of villa by 10, you wander around aimlessly for a couple of hours until it's time to get the tickets for the ferry.
ANYWAY, I noticed when we first got there that there was a great big "17TH" printed on the sand. Uh-oh, what to do? I wanted to write something but didn't want to erase someone else's art. We had been hanging out with Ruth and Ron, and she suggested that she'd get a photo of it, and email that to him. At that point, I could then erase the message (it had been in the sand for a couple of hours) and write my own.
So, I'm there making a great big heart in the sand when some guy comes over and says: "HEY, you beat me to it!" with a generous laugh. I was feeling pretty guilty as it was about erasing the "17th" and then this guy who seems really nice tells me that he just wants to leave a little message for his forum friends and I've pretty much taken up all of the viewable space. At this point, I feel really badly. But, forum members have now met. It was funny:
"who are you?"
"Capt.Kirk"
"who are you?"
"Mrs. Pete"
Yes, a very nice guy!! We try to figure out a way to get his message in and decide it won't work.
Here we are introducing ourselves:

The dreaded walk of woe begins; here is Pete making it official, putting the ferry tags on the luggage. I guess we really do have to leave.

To CaptKirk, sorry we didn't have more time to chat. We saw you waiting for the Detroit departure in FLL and didn't have a chance to say "good-bye." Hope all of your travels went well. Apparently, ours did, as we are home now.
Don't know when the trip report will come...
