I have a countdown!

Only 18 days until my first vacation of the year! And boy do my mind, body and spirit need it! It's not STJ but it will do. We are heading to Maine for Memorial Day week. A few days in the Rockland/Camden area and then to my sister's place in Wells. Can't beat free lodging I say!
We just plan to chill most of the time in Wells but if anyone has suggestions for the Camden/Rockland area I'm all ears.

We are. I can not wait. I already have the greenhouse filled with all the boxes of things to bring up. Chip says I am warped but I just can not wait to get there, so I want to be prepared.

LOL. I have a vacation bag in the dinig room. It's got our "travel" grinder in it and a pound of Kiss of the Jumbie and some other assorted items!

Good for you!
We just got back from a free lodging vacation. Some how, free had the effect of us spending tons more on food, booze and entertainment. Ain't complaining though.
I have a vacation bag too, it is a old boat-n-tote (speaking of Maine) and all necessities get tossed in it so they are all in one place when it comes time to pack.

GREAT choice mbw1024! Maine is one of my fave New England states. Camden is beautiful and has a Windjammer festival every year but not sure when, maybe the end of Summer-Sept.
Ohhh the seafood you'll have all around you...yumm! Lobsta!! Boy do I miss good ol' NE seafood...hard for me to enjoy the local seafood here
I went on a whale watch out of Bar Harbor and saw lots, so maybe that would be an option for ya's. May be too early though. Check out Ogunquit while in Wells. Anywhere on the coast of Maine is GOOD as far as I'm concerned.
Years ago I lived in Saco/OOB area. Loved shopping/eating in the Old Port.
You'll have a blast I'm sure with whatever you all do!
Enjoy,
Kathy

Oh I have my "Summer Maine" bag in the basement. It holds all the things I take to the lake every year. Sheets, coffee mugs, etc etc. So a few every day essentials and I'd be ready to head to Maine in a snap!

Yes, I'm a dork and I know it !

I just like walking around the town in Camden. There are some neat shops and galleries and lots of good restaurants - of course, I don't remember any of the names
Have a great time.
