Hi, all.
My husband and I decided on Morgan Point villa for our one year wedding anniversary. Does anyone happen to know if the Cruz Bay area is walking distance from this villa? I think the villa is somewhere on great cruz bay road, but I'm not sure about that. Also, are there any beaches walking distance.
Thanks!

We're staying at Morgan Point later this month... It doesn't appear to be within walking distance to Cruz Bay, as its up over Jacob's Ladder and past the Westin. It may be within walking distance to the Westin's beach. Maybe even Chocolate Hole? I guess I'll find out in a few weeks...
The Bongo Bongo/On St. John guys did a couple of "Jeep Cam" videos that take you in that direction: one that starts at the E&C gas station to Bongo Bongo villa and points out Great Cruz Bay Road along the way; and another that goes down Great Cruz Bay Road and actually points out the entrance to Morgan Point, so you can get a pretty good idea of where its at and how far it is from town. If you go to 0n-stjohn.com, and search for "Bongo Bongo Jeep Cam," you get a page with these two videos and you will know exactly where Morgan Point is. Pretty cool!

Morgan Point is very close to where we are staying in July - Palm Hill Villa. I found the driveway to Palm Hill on the jeep cam of Great Cruz Bay Rd. A good map that helped me was
http://www.vacationvistas.com/index.html#location Zoom into the Great Cruz Bay area and find the marker for Serenity...Morgan Point is almost due north. The house with the darker red roof is Palm Hill and is directly across the street from Morgan Point.
There is no way to walk to Cruz Bay from there. I guess you could walk to the Westin but it wouldnt be super easy. We stayed at Tennis Villa last year and the walk back from the Westin was a bigtime calf burner. Tennis Villa is much closer to the Westin than Morgan Point. I am not sure about accessing Chocolate hole from Maria Bluff though. I am curious though as I have not snorkeled there yet.
I will be looking forward to your trip reports to see how the view is from morgan point
