As most of you know, I went to Jazz Fest with some forum buddies last weekend. I noticed that many people get to Jazz Fest early in the day and stake-out their space, put down a neat sheet and a cooler and put up a tall flag pole with various flags so their friends can find them in the crowd! Brilliant, I say! Here's a picture of an especially nice flag that I thought I'd share with you!

The owner of this T-shirt was waiting to squeeze into the crowd at the Blues Tent. How could I resist taking a picture to share with you guys!?! :D

Dark & Diet - other than Elvis Costello with Allen Toussaint, Burning Spear was my favorite performance this past weekend.

You can get their live performance at Jazz Fest through the Jazz Fest official site (only avialable through May 5th).

What day did they play in Lafayette? I wish they would do the Festival International the weekend between French Quarter Fest and Jazz Fest's two weekends!

nothintolose - hey! i didn't know they played at jazz fest the same weekend. they played sunday here in lafayette. the crowd was UNBELIEVABLE! i have never seen a crowd that big for festival, especially for a closing performer on sunday! their encore was supposed to be 2 songs, but ended up playing well over 2 hours! i'll have to get islandchef to post some of our pics. they are the only thing playing on my ipod since sunday.
