Well, read this morning that American is joining the rest of the airlines and charging customers for the 2nd piece of check-in luggage. Husband always brought along his favorite sling back chair. Yea...I know...can you believe he brought his own chair?
Also, he was going to bring along the umbrella he bought last year in STJ. Every year we buy one of those cheap beach umbrellas ( comes in VERY handy when all the shady spots are taken) and then we just leave it at the villa. Last year there were no cheap umbrellas to be found!!! ended up buying a ROXY umbrella at Planet??? ( forgot the name) and we took it home, planned on bringing it back this year!!!
Anybody see any umbrellas in STJ lately? Forumites who just came back? Did you happen to see any umbrellas in the stores? Ruth???

AA website says that if you purchase your ticket or travel before May 12th, you can still check the second bag for free. We bought ours back in December for a July trip. We are flying with frequent flier miles. I'm assuming they won't charge us since we booked before May 12th. We are camping at Maho so we usually bring a cooler with some food.
