Well, actually this is a Bang question...
For you ladies and germs who have bangs that are longish, like the top of your ears length...what do you use to keep the hair out of your eyes while snorkeling?
Thnx and Happy Monday to you!!

Serious answer-
I get my hair wet and slick it all back and put a ponytail in it. You can clip the bangs back.

I have been known to use a bandana to keep my hair out of the way. One of those do-rag things would work too. Yeah, it looks dorky, but it keeps your hair from floating in front of your face.
(Or you can do what I did right before last trip--chop all your hair off!)

CaGirl and Liamsaunt - I'm trying to hold off on the scissors and the cutting of my hair. But, I'm loosing the battle I think. It is about shoulder length and I kind of like it this length.
Liamsaunt - a bandana stays on while snorkeling?
sea-nile - so hair clips will stay in place while I'm in the water snorkeling?
kygirl - Ladies and Germs is a term that some old comedians used. Like the dude with the big fat black mustach and the big cigar. I can't think of his name right now.

Uh, I'm about to reveal my age here... was that Jerry Colonna?
Coden - my hair is long and getting longer. I've grown my bangs out so I can get them pulled back into my pony tail. Not sure if you have time to grow yours out this long, though, but it's an idea this time, and not a smart-ass answer.

Boo-hoo CaGirl - I don't have time, only 20 some odd days. Woo-hoo!! I could cut my bangs right above my glasses I guess, but I'm afraid I'll look like a dork!!
disclaimer: not saying that everyone else who has their bangs cut above their glasses look like a dork!!

Only I would, no one else in the world would, only me!!

Sorry Coden, now I get it. I'm a little slow (I'm from Kentucky, you know;))
BTW, I think this is a great question! I had not thought about this and I will have the same problem.

Oh! Well! That just wouldn't do. There are no dorks allowed on St. John, you know!
Now were were those hair clips?

kygirl - that's okay, me too!!!
CaGirl - Of course there aren't any dorks on STJ...we are all sooooooo cooooool!!!
Hairclips - I think I have some of those flat metal ones, I'll just jam some of those on my head and see how it works!!
Thnx ya'll!!!

I wish I had the nerve to just shave my head! WOW, would that be nice. No, I've got to keep my baby fine hair below my shoulders WITH bangs.
That said I'm getting my hair cut Friday before we leave on Saturday. The hair, bangs, it all gets tangled up............no matter what I try. So this year my hair will be shorter, see if it helps.
I've yet to find any real good suggestions to deal with wayward hair. But the "do-rag" seems like it would be worth a try.
Keep this posting, it will be neat to see what ideas are out there!

Yes, those flat metal clips work well. I even used a bunch of bobby pins and they worked.

Just a thought on those flat clips (didn't we used to call them "klippies"?). If you can get them in say, a dark blue, instead of silver, you probably won't look like barracuda bait when your head is down in the water.
