New to the forum and saying hello

Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself to move from lurker to member. I stumbled onto St. John via some google surfing looking for villas - had never heard of the place and now I can't wait to go! Reading this forum has been very helpful and it seems like quite the community. My wife, 18 month old daughter and I have decided to spend July on St. John and we're having some friends come to visit while we're there. We've rented Villa Serenity for the last two weeks and are undecided about our initial location - will likely stay close to Cruz Bay from what people seem to be saying. (suggestions would be welcome!)
From everything I've seen online I have a feeling that we will become St. John regulars. Thanks to all who contribute here for all the info and getting me totally stoked!

Welcome! You will find a ton of info here. And you are right, once you vacation on STJ, you will be hooked.
A whole month?? I am jealous.

You will love St John in July - the water is warm and calm and not much of a crowd.

Have fun. The young ones figure out island time quite quickly. I think this is a great plan. Villa Serenity is in a great area.

Welcome to the forum! Everyone else is right...you're going to get hooked for sure!! July is hurricane season (not to say you'll get a hurricane) so you might look into covering your trip with trip insurance. It always makes me feel a little more comfortable
You're going to have a great time! And how jealous am I that you get a whole month on island! Wow!
