Has anyone used - with success (key word here) - Virgin Mobile cell phone service on St. John? They offer a "pay as you go" phone that supposedly gets service on St. Thomas and San Juan......just checking on St. John.

Yes, we used this last year, until my son dropped it in cruz bay...then we were phoneless! It worked very well at our villa in Choc Hole.

Hi!

Yes, I'll second Ksea's experience...my Virgin prepaid phone worked like a charm in town, and best of all, the regular US domestic rates apply. Don't know how reception was at any of the beaches, because I like leaving the phone at the villa during the day!

My daughter's pay as you go phone with Virgin Mobile worked on the ferry on the way over to STJ, worked at the villa in Chocolate Hole, and worked on the North Shore beaches as well. It was a good thing.
