This is totally off topic, but I have to congratulate my hubby Juice for his 4th Boston Marathon appearance today. He finished in 3:02:27. His goal was to go under 3 hours, but the sun got to him today.

I see Jeremy Zuber of STJ - the 8 Tuff Miles winner for a few years now, completed his race in 2:41:10!

This is the first out of 20 or so marathons that I missed and I was disappointed, but I think I might be more disappointed now since he told me he saw Matthew McConaughey out in Boston the other night....!

That's great! I remember when I met you guys at the beach bar and he talked about doing Boston.

Marcia's niece did really well too. ! Same time as your husband I think....

My husband went to the Red Sox / Yankees game last weekend as a guest in a friend's box and Matthew McConaughay was, for some reason, in the box too, along with his posse. Sometimes hard to get details out of guys though.. Matthew was a "great guy, and his stunt double was great, too" was about all I got.

And that is great about Marcia's niece - maybe they were running together....! I won't let him know that she almost beat him though!

YEA JUICE! (I looked for you in the boston.com footage....Again, you've been closer to my house in Ashland in the last four years than I have been, four times.)
YEA MARCIA'S NIECE!

Tracy, congrats to Juice! I was going to start a topic on this a couple of days ago to see if anyone from the forum was running. I remember you posting about him last year.

I think it was a little warmer than ideal for the marathon today, but wow, what a finish for the ladies!

Congratulations! We stayed at the Lenox Hotel last trip to Boston and had a room overlooking the finish line. I had my husband take a photo of my foot poised to cross the line. That's as close as I'll ever come to a marathon! :)

It's true, my niece Tara ran today, her 4th Boston Marathon. She came in with a finish of 70th for women, 58th for her division. Yes, I'm proud! The most fun of all was being in communication throughout the day with my sister who had no idea where her daughter was (it's not like there is wireless internet out there on the course), or when she'd get to the spot she was staged at.

Calling her and telling her where Tara was, what her pace was, was great fun. Oh, and my sister was there with her very good friend whose husband was running as well. He's 58. Sally, the wife of said runner, wanted me to call her at every 5K just to let her know he was still alive!!! He came in with a 3:37. Not bad for an old guy.

They have all gone out for lobster and then tomorrow, they go back to their normal lives.

Very fun day.
