Villa Provisioning

We are planning to do a little simple villa provisioning ... just a few things for snacks, first day breakfast, and sandwiches for those of us that arrive a day early. Most of our group arrives a day later. We will place an order with Mixology for beverages. It looks to me like East West Catering and Katilady are pretty similar in price and offerings for what we are looking for. I was wondering if anyone could offer an opinion or recommendation. Thanks!

A friend of mine used East West on our trip in March and she is planning on using them again in July. I was under the impression that they were a bit less than Kati-Lady? They offered quite a lovely assortment of fresh fruit, coffee (ground - Starbucks) milk (Parmalait) large sandwiches, butter and a homemade banana nut bread that she thought was wonderful. I'm sure there was more. She has also used Kati Lady in the past and was pleased with them, but she planned this trip at the last minute (48 hours notice) and they weren't available.

Have a wonderul trip!

Last year we used Christy's. We gave her a grocery list and selected from her menu for our first night's dinner. Having the basic groceries there upon arrival was a wonderful little treat. The dinner was good but not great. But, it's just so nice to not have to deal with that when you have had more than 24 hours of travel to get to the villa.

This year, we are not going to do that simply because we don't feel like it's worth the money. Again, nothing against Christy's (we'd use her again in a heartbeat) but, it's just not something we feel we should spend our limited vacation money on.

Here is her website:

I hope this helps!

Thanks Katie and Marcia! This helps. Katie, I take it that your friend like East West better since that are using them again in July. Is that right? Thanks!

I think she would use either again. She was planning on Kati Lady for her July trip, but I think they were more money and she didn't need all of the frills - fresh flowers, presentation, etc. She was actually just going to ask them to provide the food without all of the extras. Then, she came up with a last minute trip in March and East West was great. At that time they didn't take credit cards, so I think she left a check for them at her condo.

Have fun - I'm jealous :)

We have used Katilady for several years and always get the "So You've Decided to Stay" package! They will substitute items also I think. With that package and the frozen/dry goods we bring, we rarely need to buy much at the grocery! It's well worth it not to spend your vacation in a grocery!!!! (which I hate doing at home too!!!!)
