I know someone posted about these kayaks eco-tours. I would like to know more. Our 7th trip to STJ and we are looking for something a little different with our 17 yr old twin girls. We all LOVE the water and snorkeling. Do you go into the mangroves? Do you jump out of the kayaks and snorkel? Isn't it hard to get back in? Tell me more. Thanks!
55 days!!!! Staying at Amani.

We took such a tour on STT some years ago. The place was south of Red Hook on the SE coast of STT. Yes we went into the mangroves, snorkled in the area and had no trouble getting out there or getting back. We strongly recommend that you try that if you can connect with them. I think I noticed that the sign had changed and it was under a name that I didn't catch.

I'm sorry that I don't have more. Does that help?

Don't know if he does specifically what you're talking about, but check with Arthur Jones at Arawak:

Suzi-
I have gone on the Hidden Reef Eco Tour and I highly recommend it. On the tour I took, we left from Haulover beach and paddled over to Pelican Rock for snorkeling.

Yes, we did jump out of the boat for snorkeling and get back in, it really wasn't as big a deal as you think to do this. There were people on our tour that had zero paddling experience and did fine. The guides teach you everything you need to know to get by, before you leave the beach.

They guides taught me all kinds of things I did not know...about sea life and life on STJ. I did write about this trip in my TR, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me!
