Does anyone have a comment about Palm Terrace Unit #6. This is the basement unit on the right as you face the water. I understand there is little or no view from this unit. Please help.

I haven't stayed there but we did actually look at it. There is little to no view - that is true. The unit is very nicely appointed though.

We just returned from PT #4 a few weeks ago. Here is the good......very large, well decorated, comfortable beds, central ac, large laundry room, nice size balcony, easy to get to from town, and overall very pretty. Now the bad..........while #4 is suppose to have the best view, I have to ask, of what?? Straight off the balcony is a very nasty looking brown pond with screens and doors and other odd things floating in it, to the left are some equally nasty looking apartments that look very unsightly, to the right you see the roof of Mahogony Tree Villa (I think that's what it is) and that is pretty ugly too. If you look out beyond all that, you can see the ocean, but it's hard to get past all the yucky stuff to notice it. So if I were going to stay there again, I'd pick a lower unit and have no view rather than to look at that. I hate to bad mouth any place on STJ, but I would also hate to tell the forum that this place has nice views, when it just doesn't. Of course the web site does not show any of this in their photos. I would have rather stayed at Cruz Views and had much better views for a lot less $$. The four bedroom unit at PT is right in front of the pool and it has very nice plants and trees all around it and you can't see all the ugly. I would stay there.
Thanks

Well, it looks good in the website, but I think the photos are deceptive. The way it looks to me, you get no view at all from either side, and the only outside deck is at the back and is so low that you see just some trees.

Looks like a no go for us. A couple of places that look good are Skyridge that I found at
www.stjohnvillarental.com, plus Blue Palm Villa. They're out in Upper Carolina, which I really like. Good roads, nice views, no construction.
