I made the oven baked mashed potatoes and the balsamic mushrooms to go with the steaks. I think it was the best dinner at mom's in a long time. Partly because she didn't cook ( ), but mostly due to your help. We also did a layered salad and the old favorite.......green bean casserole. Those mushrooms are amazing and everyone wanted the recipe. Thanks Liamsaunt. When is the cookbook coming out?

Cyp, so glad your Mom had such a terrific birthday. I'm sure that just spending the day with her family was the big gift, and the terrific meal was the bonus. So, hmmm, you do cook afterall. Perhaps you could whip us up some of those dishes in November? (Hah, just kidding with you girl....... ) Ali~
