I don't know if this is an April Fool's joke or not, but i just heard that the mail truck from STT to STJ fell off the ferry in Red Hook and it's floating out to sea...

I'm hearing that a truck indeed is in the water. don't know if it's a mail truck or not. word around town is the ferry started to pull away from the dock before the truck was fully onboard.

Just heard that as de ferry was pullin away from de dock, capt tried to save de truck. Capt stabbed de truck with ramp, without success. De truck is in de ocean...If it was mail, maybe wet mail for STJ. More soon come...

If my new Counting Crows CD is on that truck, I'm going to be really mad. I've been waiting since March 25th.

Ruth, I didn't know you were a Crows fan, I picked up the new disc the day it came out, it has a somewhat harder sound than some of their earlier work but I guess that's supposed to be the theme of the album.

I'm really hoping the mail truck mishap was "April Fools" and I'll get my CD today. And Pia will get her Wok and shampoo. But if you have some influence, perhaps you could get the Counting Crows to play at The Beach Bar. That would be great!

(thread stealing ) ....and Jorge, if that "influence" can do anything for my son's band (my son is the drummer in a band with his buddies) that'd be great! He's deferring from college for a year to follow this dream. Austin, TX, here they come, ready or not. Oh well, what's a parent to do; if you can't follow a dream at 18, then when? Also, Ruth and Pia, if you don't get your mail orders let me know and I can bring the cd, shampoo and/or anything else you might need (I arrive 5/2), well, except maybe for a wok (too big for the always overpacked suitcase). Ali~
