So Who's Meet Jeffrey.....?

....the tatto guy that hangs out around Woodys? We were eating there last Tuesday and he walked up and asked if he could sit down at our table. At first we thought, WTF? But in the end it will be one of the moments that we will always remember about our trip. We found him to be quite funny (not saying that in a condescending way)and pretty witty. Although I think the wait staff at Woody's had varying opinions of him.

Jeffrey is a perfect example of how the island takes care of it's own. He may be a little annoying and I am sure that the girls at Woody's get a little tired of him, but he is a gentle soul that gets a little overly friendly with the ladies occasionally.

I made sure that I got a tattoo from him in April. He sat with us and my friends were a little annoyed at first but we all ended up having a blast. He was greeted with waves and hellos from cars and people going past, he is one of most well known guys on island.

Jeffrey is a great guy, just don't let your cigarette
smoke drift his way. he will tell you where he would like to put it out.

Either. Jeffrey is a 40 y.o man with downs syndrome
whom makes a little money selling fake tattoo's, mostly to the lady's. he really likes the lady's.
he is much beloved by locals and tourist alike and i've seen firsthand what happens to people who mess
with him, it didn't end well for the young tourist punks.

Ah, yes, Jeffrey. I had the pleasure of meeting him 2 years ago. We were pounding a few beers in Woody's when I had to use the facilities. I didn't see him sitting at a table inside until I felt a smack on my ass. I turned around and he said, "see you on the way back!" I was speechless.

I always make it a point to get a tattoo from Jeffrey when I'm on island. He always makes us laugh because he gets so very close when he applies the tattoo - as Ruth said "anywhere you want it". See my avatar - there is a Woody's tattoo on my arm from him.

Last time we were at Woody's, Jeffrey snuck up and planted a big wet one one my cheek. Took me by complete surprise!

I thought Jeffrey was in his 20s? He seems to do very well for himself. I've seen him doing alter boy duties a couple of times at the Catholic church. He's become quite a fixture of our visits, despite his love for NoTanLines buns.

Cheers, RickG

Yes, Jorge think his last name is Smith.
yes, think he is about 40 or late 30's.
He does have down syndrome.
I have never seen anyone on island treat him with anything but kindness. He can be a little flirtatious and handsy but people just seem to brush it off.........
