Embedding flash videos?!

jmq just pulled off a trick I haven't seen before - embedded flash video. How did you do it?! Anthony, is this a new feature? I know I've tried it before and failed.

I dropped in the embed code that I cut and paste from the posting source and it works. Interesting possibilities.

<embed src="http://www.onlinebvi.net/flvplayer.swf" quality="high" width="450" height="367" name="VideoPlayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" FlashVars="file=http://www.onlinebvi.net/uploads/Mpdcct ... r=0xFFFFFF" wmode="transparent" border="0"></embed>

If I try the same thing with a youtube video it works!

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q5Z-HA8wssI&hl ... ram><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q5Z-HA8wssI&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Cheers, RickG

Hey Rick - more fun with cutting and pasting embed codes - works with Shutterfly photo books too.

I like that book idea. More than just pictures. When I view it on it's own, I do notice that the text is rather small and not legible. But I do like it and might even consider the pix from Ireland to post on that instead of pbase.

Very nice indeed.
