I was just cleaning out my spam file. I saw one email and thought, hey, that is not spam.

The subject line said
"Hot saucy babes"

I thought it said
"Hot Sauce Baby"

And I almost opened it

That's pretty funny.
As we get older all kinds of quirky things come up that we wouldn't have considered a couple of years back.
I wear eyeglasses with progressive lenses. I also have a strong pair of straight reading glasses. Last week on a morning after the night before, I got up , put on my specs, made coffee, went out and got the paper, etc. and was getting a helluva headache as the morning was going by, and had pretty blurry vision. I said to myself," Self, you gotta start taking it easier on yourself!" Turns out other then the fact that I had on my readers instead of the bifocals, I was fine.

Here's my personal favorite...

You know you're getting old when you get up off the chair/couch like I am about to do and even after you get up, your joints are still in the same sitting position you just got up from for a minute or two  .

Sheesh, in my mind I'm not that old thanks to pretty ok aging genes compliments of my mother. Unfortunately, the grey hairs I am finding and aching joints have to jump up and remind me I'm no spring chicken anymore! What fun!!!

I really don't feel old, until I look in the mirror.
My arms aren't long enough to read that small print anymore so I have to stop denying that I need reading glasses. I have misread things too. That could be dangerous!

A friend had a tee shirt I loved I think the quote is " Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill"

At least we're able to laugh about it. I feel younger now that I've had lasik surgery. I just pretend my vision is naturally as good as it is.

My fave is when I go from one room to another to do something then just stand there trying to remember what the hell I was going to do

How 'bout this: just the other day I heard that 80's music is now categorized as "oldies". Boo-hoo!

Amen, sister! I absolutely agree and wish I hadn't waited so long to have it done.

They say that 40 is the new 30, so I figure I'm 36. I also heard that cellulite is the new tattoo... so I must be getting hipper as I get older!
