sad news -still numb

I know maybe some people on this forum will think that it is weird that I am posting this, but I just feel the need to tell people. I think a lot of others have found comfort in posting things like this.
My best friend called me last night, hysterical. She and her husband (my husband's best friend) had flown to Vegas and he had a heart attack when he got off the plane and they could not save him. He was 45. She is flying back today.
It is all such a shock that I haven't cried yet.
Hug your family and friends and live your days like they may be your last. (But take care of yourself too so you can stay around to enjoy it).
I always wanted to take these friends to STJ someday. Maybe my girl friend can go with me sometime now.

You take care and take care of your friend. When it is all over a trip to STJ has away of healing people.

My sympathies to your friend, you and your husband.
Good advice too. Appreciate the people in your life now, because you never know what tomorrow brings.

You take care and hopefully you can be able to help your friend also. It's really hard, I know, as about the same happend to my best friend (I'll tell you about it another time).
You will be in my thoughts.

I agree, that is much too young to go.
I know how difficult of a time this is for her, and for you and your husband, as a part of their extended family.
All of you are in our thoughts.

Horrible and tragic. Life is so short it really makes you put things into perspective.

My deepest sympathy for you guys. Gave me chills as I am that age. Ya here about something like this and it makes ya really feel fortunate for every day your given. I know it's cliche but enjoy every minute as if it's your last and be good to people and spread love in peoples lives as we never know when it's our time.

Sorry to hear this, best wishes to all...it is tough to deal with.
We buried my stepfather this January and my mother had a stroke in February...these things are sobering. Picking out a grave-site and coffin with my mother wasn't alot of fun...reminded me how life is finite and death is a necesarry part of the life-cycle.
My mother has been home about a week now and is doing pretty well...
Death has a way of reminding us to be thankful for the life we have.

My thoughts go out to you and your friend. He was the same age as my husband. I hope she and yourselves will find comfort and peace at this difficult time.
I agree with living your life to the fullest, becuase you never, never know what tomorrow will bring.
