Dumb question, Is passport required for St John?

I know this is a dumb question, but since I have a passport I have not paid attention to the regulations as they have changed. My sister thinks she might be able to join us in May, but doesn't have a passport. She is coming from Florida.
Does she need one to go to STT? We are not planning on going to the BVI's.

thanks

Nope - Don't need one. Just a birth certificate and drivers license. Passports are not required for any of the usvi's. Hope your sister gets to come - she surely will not regret the trip! 8)

No she does not need one for travel to the USVI.
Also, if you arrive to the BVI's by water she will not need one to visit there either - maybe there will be a day charter to Jost in your future :) )

Thanks guys!
I think I will have her get one anyway. I know I find a passport so much easier than dragging all the other paperwork with me.
We are 7 weeks out ( can't wait) so hopefully she can get one on time, but if not, she will still be O.K.

We just applied for passports for our kids today and they told us that we would get them in 6 weeks, quicker if we want them expedited. If you're 7 weeks out you should be ok.

they told me that it would take that long, but i got mine in 4 (last november) without expediting. you're in good shape without paying their extra fees.
