Hi. Does anyone know some current grocery prices on STJ? Milk, bottle water, cereal etc? We are trying to decide whether or not to ship down some things ahead of time or just buy it when we get there? Thanks...

I can't weigh in on the to ship or not to ship debate, since I've never done it, although it seems like alot of trouble to go through for ordinary things. Some on this forum have shipped items they feared would not be avaiable at all, like baby formulas, I would consider sending stuff of that nature, but the groceries really have just about anything you might need. For water, buy a few gallons at St. John Ice, $4 a case ( four gallons) and then refill the gallons at .50 a shot. Bring refillable water bottles and you are good to go... its more "green" as well. Have a great trip.

Thanks. I was more concerned about the price of water than anything else (if I read correctly $1 a gallon). I will be 6 months pregnant when we will be on the island and water will be key for me.

Some flavors of Breyer's ice cream are ONLY $7.99 for a 1/2 gallon. Did you get Rocky Road? I think that's the one that's $8.99......
