I just read this great article in today's Wall Street Journal about the new baggage fees the airlines are charging.

I am just about ready to stop using the airlines that have implemented this. I liked the one quote that said you wouldn't go to a hotel and expect to not have a bed, so why would anyone expect you to fly without luggage.

I used to do carry-on only everywhere, but find it near impossible with the restrictions on toiletries. I know because I plan to bring a cooler with me and booze back that it will be a huge pain to travel on these airlines to STJ.

I always bring back whatever the maximum is. If I had a traveling companion less boozy who came in and out of my airport, I'd use their limit too. So far, no takers.

And as long as cruzan keeps turning sugar cane into the nectar of the Gods, there will be a party at my house.
